What is career coaching?

The Career Coach Institute defines career coaching as “an interactive process of exploring work-related issues – leading to effective action.” A Career Coach both sparks development and transformation and supports the client’s continued efforts toward it.

The Job Search Strategy Lab focuses on equipping and supporting our clients to develop and implement a successful job search and to be successful in the ever-changing workplace.

What are the mission and philosophy of the Job Search Strategy Lab?

Mission: To improve the employment prospects and quality of life of displaced workers and the underemployed by making career coaching and job search support services accessible to all job seekers.

Philosophy: “Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.” -Tennis legend, Arthur Ashe. We believe that any job seeker that is committed to career development is capable of achieving it. We start where you are and help you develop and implement a career plan and job search that will allow you to achieve your goals.

What services does the Job Search Strategy Lab offer?

In addition to our e-course, audio course and guidebooks,  we offer four signature services designed to help clients secure their ideal work:

• From Dead End Job to Top Job Candidate: A seven-week, group career coaching teleclass designed to take each client through the steps needed to reach Top Job Candidate Status.

• Job Search Strategy Audit & Action Plan: An intense “workout” with a career coach and job strategist to review and assess all aspects of your current job search strategies and create a plan for improvement. Includes interview role plays and a plan of action for you going forward.

• Telephone-based Seminars: Single seminars or workshops held via a telephone bridge or onsite. Each is designed to help clients with some aspect of career development or job search strategies.

• The Job Lab: A membership site that offers comprehensive career development and job search strategy resources including article libraries, past recordings of career development workshops and seminars, templates and samples of resumes, cover letters, etc.

How do teleclasses work?

It’s nearly as simple as picking up your telephone and calling a friend. Once you’ve successfully registered for your The Job Search Strategy Lab telephone-based event (teleseminar, teleworkshop, teleclass) you will receive an email with a call-in number and your participant code. You’ll also receive a reminder of the date and time of your scheduled event. Simply call the number and enter your code about 5 minutes before the scheduled event. That’s it. Really.
